Monkeypox is a rare but potentially serious viral illness that typically begins with flu-like illness and swelling of the lymph nodes and progresses to a widespread rash on the face and body, according to the CDC.

UNHCR says as of end of 2021, the number of people forcibly displaced from their homes had increased up to 90 million due to new waves of violence in Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Myanmar, Nigeria, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
