PATTAYA – A man stabbed his stepfather following an argument about frying eggs, leading to a violent altercation that shocked residents of Soi Paniadchang 8 in Central Pattaya on Sunday.

Pattaya police and rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call.

According to media reports, policemen discovered the victim, identified as Krisada Matcha, 36, running down the stairs covered in blood, with a sharp knife lodged in his head.

Rescue workers quickly administered first aid before transporting him to Banglamung Hospital for further treatment.

At the scene, police detained Sathaporn Chieaplaem, 35, the victim’s stepson, who was waiting to be questioned.

Sathaporn also had a head injury and claimed he was attacked first during the argument.

Sathaporn admitted to stabbing his stepfather in a fit of rage, explaining that the argument began when Krisada struck him on the head with a soup bowl.

“He hit me first, and I got angry,” Sathaporn told police, recounting the incident.

Sathaporn also revealed that their relationship was often strained due to his dissatisfaction with his stepfather living with his mother.

“We argued frequently, and this time it was about how to fry eggs. Things escalated quickly,” he added.

Authorities have detained Sathaporn at the Pattaya Police Station for further questioning as they piece together the events leading up to the violent confrontation.

Police confirmed that the investigation would include statements from both individuals once Krisada’s medical condition stabilises.
