Perlis International Sunnah Convention 2025 set to empower global ummah with knowledge

SHAH ALAM - The highly anticipated Perlis International Sunnah Convention (PISC) 2025, which offers an enriching platform for exploring the Sunnah and fostering global connections through insightful discussions and lectures, returns this month.

Centered on the theme "Al-Quran: The Divine Guidance", the event, organised by the Perlis State Mufti Department in collaboration with various dakwah organisations and institutions is set to take place at Dewan 2020 in Kangar, Perlis from Jan 24 to 27.

This year's convention promises to surpass it's predecessors, uniting world-renowned scholars, experts and pasionate attendees for an enriching experience.

The department's Islamic Affairs officer Emi Yusmidar Md Yusoff said the event will feature 23 renowned scholars from various countries, bringing diverse perspectives and expertise to the convention.

"Their presence is expected to enrich the discussions and provide valuable insights to the participants," she said in a statement.

The event is expected to draw around 10,000 participants from across the region.

It offers attendees a chance to engage in inspiring lectures and forums designed to foster a deeper understanding of Allah’s message and promote spiritual growth.

Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with a global community, engage in interactive sessions with speakers and partake in family-friendly activities catering to all ages.

A key feature as part of PISC 2025 is the exclusive women-only session, a special one-day extension that prioritises privacy and comfort for female attendees.

This session will include empowering discussions led by renowned female scholars, offering valuable insights tailored specifically to women’s needs.

The convention which is also supported by the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) will showcase an impressive lineup of internationally acclaimed speakers.

Amomg them are Dr Zakir Naik (India), Sheikh Shadi Alsuleiman (Australia), Dr Muhammad Salah (Egypt), Sheikh Abdur Raheem Green (UK), Dr Ahmed Saifuddin (Saudi Arabia), Sheikh Assim Al-Hakeem (Saudi Arabia), Dr Omar Suleiman (USA), Dr Waleed Basyouni (USA), Dr Bilal Philips (Canada) and Sheikh Yousuf Estes (USA).
