Music legend Jamal Abdillah becomes father again at 66

The 66-year-old singer announced the joyous news on Tuesday morning, sharing that both mother and daughter are in good health following a successful surgery.

SHAH ALAM - Malaysian music icon Datuk Jamal Abdillah has welcomed the arrival of his seventh child, a baby girl.

The 66-year-old singer announced the joyous news on Tuesday morning, sharing that both mother and daughter are in good health following a successful surgery.

“Alhamdulillah, the surgery went perfectly and both mother and baby are fine. I am deeply grateful to Allah SWT for granting us this blessing,” Jamal shared with AWANI.

He also extended his gratitude to friends and well-wishers for their congratulatory messages.

Jamal, whose full name is Jamal Ubaidillah Ali, had previously revealed his intention to name his baby girl Magdalena Yamani, inspired by the maiden beloved by Prophet Yusuf.

This marks the fifth child for Jamal with his wife, Datin Zai Izzati Khiruddin, 29.

In addition to his young family, Jamal has two older sons, Osama Yamani, 22, and Ahmad Zaki Yamani, 18, from his previous marriages.

Known for his legendary hits such as ‘Kekasih Awal dan Akhir,’ Jamal continues to enjoy the blessings of family life while maintaining his illustrious career. - AWANI
