SHAH ALAM - A woman's quiet afternoon at home alone took a terrifying turn when she unexpectedly came face-to-face with an uninvited visitor —a man she had already reported to the police for harassment.

Sharing her story through a video on Instagram, @sharifahareeqa said the man whom she identified as an immigration officer named Rohaizi Ismail, 50, from Kuantan, Pahang, arrived at her doorstep with another unidentified man at about 2.50pm on Dec 25, 2024.

She said she did not know the man nor had she seen him before, but recognised his name when he introduced himself, as she had lodged a police report against him earlier in October that year.

The man, she said has been harassing her, her brother and her manager for money because someone had been impersonating her to scam the man's money.

"Two months ago, I lodged a report against him because he has been harassing me, he has been harassing my brother and my manager for money because somebody has been impersonating me, somebody was using my pictures, my identity, my videos and everything to scam this man’s money.

"But, in his head, he thinks it was really me who took his money. He's been texting my manager, my brother (and people around me) to ask for his money back. So that was when I made the first report," she said in the video.

Despite her efforts to clear her name and alert the authorities in October, the harassment escalated with the man's unannounced visit, two months later.

Showing a closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage at her house during the incident, she recounted how the man took photos of her car, her house and her father’s car.

"Everything was caught on CCTV. I have every evidence against him.

"For him to show up at my property is an attempt to provoke me.

"You come to my house, not only are you burdening my life, you are also putting my family at risk. I don’t live alone, I live with my family," she said.

She added that she lodged another police report on the latest incident.

She recounted her harrowing experience with distress, highlighting how frightening such incidents can be for women.

The situation has left her feeling unsafe, knowing that someone who has been harassing her and her family now knew where she lived.

"I do not wish this upon my biggest enemies or anybody, as a woman living in Malaysia, this is very scary.

"I've already made a report against him and this is my second report, on the same person that I did two months ago," she added.
