Sinar Harian Deputy News Editor Rosli Hassan passes away at 49

Rosli took his final breath at the Sultan Idris Shah Serdang Hospital’s Heart Centre.

SHAH ALAM – Sinar Harian Deputy News Editor Rosli Hassan passed away on Tuesday evening due to suspected heart complications. He was 49.

The news of his passing was shared by his wife, Rosabariah Shamsudin with media colleagues shortly after his demise.

Rosli took his final breath at the Sultan Idris Shah Serdang Hospital’s Heart Centre.

It is understood that Rosli had been experiencing heartburn since Dec 9 and had taken two days of medical leave.

However, as his condition worsened, he sought treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Kajang Hospital at 5am on Dec 11.

He was later transferred to Serdang Hospital two days after his admission.

A cheerful and well-respected figure among his peers, Rosli had a long and distinguished career in journalism.

He previously served as the Assistant News Editor at Kosmo! and as a journalist for its Melaka edition around 2008.

The funeral is scheduled to take place at Surau An-Nur, Pangsapuri Sri Malaysia, Sungai Besi. He will be laid to rest tomorrow.
