Pas leader Samsuri quits as PN treasurer
Samsuri’s decision has been described as unexpected, considering he is regarded as one of Pas' key figures, a significant component party within PN.
KUALA LUMPUR - Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar has resigned as Perikatan Nasional (PN) treasurer on Wednesday.
Citing a report from the Harakahdaily portal, the resignation was announced through a brief statement to the central leadership of Pas.
In the statement the Pas Vice President said that he had submitted his resignation letter to the PN management.
“Assalamualaikum to all friends. I would like to inform everyone that I, Ahmad Samsuri bin Mokhtar, have submitted my resignation letter as the Treasurer-General of PN today, Wednesday, 11 Dec 2024. That is all. Please take note,” he said in a brief message to the portal.
Samsuri’s decision has been described as unexpected, considering he is regarded as one of Pas' key figures, a significant component party within PN.
Originally from Jerteh, Besut, he is also known as a high-profile leader within Pas.
PN has remained silent on the issue, but an official statement is forthcoming.
Neither Samsuri nor any relevant parties within PN have publicly disclosed the reasons behind his resignation.
