SHAH ALAM - A Bangladeshi student came under fire for a series of offensive social media posts, including allegedly spitting on the Malaysian flag and labeling local universities as a “mini Bangladesh.”

The student’s actions, which included calling for Malaysia to be bombed, triggered outrage among Malaysians and fellow Bangladeshi students alike.

According to World of Buzz, Ryan (not his real name), another Bangladeshi student, raised the issue after discovering posts by his former university mate, referred to as "Fred."

Fred, who had spent a year studying medicine at a Malaysian university before transferring to a Chinese institution, shared a series of hateful posts targeting Malaysia and its academic institutions.

In one of his Instagram stories, Fred labelled Malaysian universities as a 'mini Bangladesh,' implying that studying in Malaysia was no better than studying in his home country.

"Malaysian universities are a mini Bangladesh. The environment is so messed up.

"Bangladeshi students studying in Malaysia are low-lives who just can’t compete with students in other countries.

"Our country’s reputation in Malaysia is so bad," Fred wrote as reported by World of Buzz.
