Cik B urges calm as mother, Datuk Vida's assets seized over unpaid debt
The seizure, which included Vida’s home and four high-end vehicles, was a result of a legal dispute over unpaid arrears related to renovations on a Shah Alam factory.
SHAH ALAM - Edlynn Zamileen Mohd Amin, better known as Cik B, has taken to social media to urge calm and patience following the news of her mother's luxury assets being seized due to an outstanding debt.
The 19-year-old daughter of cosmetics mogul Datuk Seri Vida, whose real name is Hasmiza Othman, took to Instagram to reassure the public, urging them not to jump to conclusions.
“Be patient, everyone. Stay calm, okay? Relax and take it easy,” she wrote in one post.
In another, she emphasised the importance of maintaining composure amid the situation.
“For now, whatever I say will become a story. It is better if we remain calm and observe,” she said.
The seizure, which included Vida’s home and four high-end vehicles, was a result of a legal dispute over unpaid arrears related to renovations on a Shah Alam factory.
The total debt amounted to RM1,060,285, which had been accumulated due to the conversion of the factory into a studio in 2018.
The assets were seized after the Kuala Lumpur High Court issued a confiscation order following Vida’s failure to pay the outstanding renovation debts.
Meanwhile, Vida, who was in China at the time of the seizure, has expressed frustration over the manner in which the seizure was conducted.
She alleged that the plaintiffs lacked the necessary entry warrant to access her property, though her staff allowed them in without her prior knowledge.
"They had the order to seize the goods but not the entry warrant. My staff cooperated without my consent because I was abroad," she explained during a TikTok live session.
Vida added that she only became aware of the seizure after the event took place.
Despite the public attention, Vida remains confident that the matter would be resolved.
“Do you think I would not pay my debts? Business people should not have debts. Insyallah, I will leave this matter to my lawyers,” she said.
The incident has garnered mixed reactions from the public, with some fans showing their support for the entrepreneur, while others have expressed scepticism.
