Big smiles, little travellers: Viral kindergarten trip melts community hearts
The teachers and management team pulled off an extraordinary day trip, taking 47 children aged three to six on an unforgettable adventure, a flight to Kuala Lumpur and a fun-filled day exploring the city.
WHAT’S better than seeing a big smile on a child’s face? It’s double the happiness when kids get to experience pure joy and new adventures.
Recently, a heartwarming story from a private kindergarten, Muslim Junior Prima Jaya in Kuantan, went viral, melting hearts across Malaysia.
The teachers and management team pulled off an extraordinary day trip, taking 47 children aged three to six on an unforgettable adventure, a flight to Kuala Lumpur and a fun-filled day exploring the city.
The trip was documented on the kindergarten’s social media accounts, particularly on TikTok, where a video garnered over 233,000 views.
The children, accompanied by 13 dedicated teachers, boarded a Malaysia Airlines flight from Kuantan to Kuala Lumpur.
They later explored the wonders of Petrosains and marvelled at the iconic Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), travelling between stops by train.
“Alhamdulillah our one-day trip KUA-KUL-KUA is done! (The) kids enjoyed it so much. Experienced themselves with aeroplane and train boarding with @malaysiaairlines and @myrapidkl
“It was indeed a very difficult experience, but hey, we managed to pull it off! Kudos to the teachers and the management team! Without them, this trip won't be realised!” read the Instagram caption.
The kindergarten’s management also expressed gratitude to the parents for trusting them with their children, calling the trip a success made possible by teamwork and community spirit.
The trip sparked widespread admiration online. Many praised the teachers and management for their remarkable effort in organising and managing such a large group of young children.
“It’s a lucky experience for these kids to enjoy such a ‘pricey journey’ at a young age,” said one commenter.
Others humorously asked if the kindergarten would accept adult students so they could join the next trip!
In the comments, the kindergarten stressed the trip cost approximately RM300-350 per child, with parents contributing RM180.
The remaining costs, including return flights, train rides (ERL and LRT), Petrosains admission, meals and beverages, were covered by the kindergarten.
“We’re a private kindergarten and some parents opted out not because of affordability but because they understand their children’s needs best. They didn’t want to burden the teachers,” they clarified.
Netizens flooded TikTok with heartfelt comments, praising the dedication of the kindergarten’s teachers and management.
User @Nora02 commended the effort, saying, “Amazing! The kindergarten and teachers managed a long-distance trip, even flying with MAS. From the pilots to the ground staff to the kids, everyone looked excited!”
Another user, @Farah Najwa Abd Rahi, expressed gratitude, writing, “Wahhh, thank you so much, teachers! You all are incredible!”
Meanwhile, @LilarmeL added a touch of humour, saying, “Jealous! Even I haven't even been on a plane yet!”
User @niniezahra lauded the trip’s success, stating, “The kids look so happy and excited! Kudos to the teachers and management. You’re the best!”
