Missing pregnant woman, 4-year-old child from Kuantan found at KLIA

KUANTAN - A woman who was eight months pregnant and her four-year-old son, who were reported missing after going out to buy food at a shop in Jalan Pintasan Kuantan on Wednesday, were found safe by police at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Sepang, Selangor.

Her elder sister, Adlin Mohd Zakaria, 36, expressed gratitude that her younger sister, Nur Nadia Mohd Zakaria, 29, and her nephew, Aydan Noah Mohd Shahmi, were found safe.

“Alhamdulillah, my sister and her child have been found safe. Thank you so much to the police and everyone who helped,” she said via WhatsApp on Thursday.

Earlier, it was reported that the woman and her son were missing after leaving to buy food at a shop in Jalan Pintasan Kuantan on Wednesday.

Nadia was last seen leaving her house, driving a dark blue Perodua Axia at around 12 noon, but did not return to her home in Kampung Chendering.

Meanwhile, Kuantan District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu confirmed that the mother and son were found at KLIA by police at about 2pm.

"The woman and her son are safe, and they are now at the KLIA Police Station," he said briefly.
