Flash flood hits Damansara, five vehicles stranded

PETALING JAYA - A total of five vehicles were trapped in a flash flood along Persiaran Surian Damansara - Taman Pelangi Damansara on Tuesday.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the department received the distress call at 8.09am.
"Upon receiving the emergency call, eight fire and rescue personnel, along with a fire engine from the Petaling Jaya Fire and Rescue Station (BBP), were dispatched to the scene," he said in a statement today.
Mukhlis said that upon arrival, the team found that the area had encountered a flash flood, with five vehicles trapped.
"The incident did not involve any casualties, and the water level in the area gradually receded," he added.
