SHAH ALAM - Terengganu's Family Development Foundation (YPKT) is set to launch the "Jodoh Darul Iman" app, a free online matchmaking platform designed to help singles find suitable partners.

According to a post on the foundation's official Facebook page, the programme is nearing its completion.

On Nov 3, a briefing on the app's launch took place at the YPKT, where attendees discussed the app's current status and potential improvements.

"This briefing aimed to review the app's progress, which was about 97-98 percent complete.

"Several improvements were discussed to ensure the app functions effectively and meets user needs," the post read.

The ‘Jodoh Darul Iman’ app, developed by Top IT Industries Sdn. Bhd., was designed to assist individuals looking to get married in finding a suitable partner for free.

The post added that the briefing was attended by the YPKT Board and representatives from Top IT Industries.

According to the official YPKT portal, the app was created to provide unmarried individuals with an easy way to find a suitable partner online.

It also aimed to help those interested in marriage find candidates who meet the criteria of both parties, while creating a comfortable environment for younger generations seeking to begin their lives together.

The participation criteria for the app were outlined as follows: it was open to Terengganu residents aged 21 and above, both male and female, who were unmarried or single parents looking for a match.

The app was intended for first-time marriages only and was not for polygamous marriages.

Only Terengganu residents who were single parents were eligible to participate and seek a partner through the platform.
