KUALA LUMPUR - The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Ultimate Sdn Bhd and Turkey's Turkish State Mint, Darphane is a great collaboration particularly in the field of printing, to improve the capabilities of the country's digital technology industry.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said the MoU signed today, brought together the Turkish government-owned entity and a private Malaysian firm in a partnership aimed at enhancing Malaysia’s printing industry through cutting-edge technology.

He lauded the cooperation as a significant step toward advancing Malaysia’s technological capabilities, particularly in digital printing.

"Today’s MoU is a vital collaboration, uniting a Turkish government entity with Malaysia’s private sector. They’re focused on introducing the latest technology here, which I see as highly beneficial for our nation.

"This is not only a significant leap for the printing sector but also aligns with our broader objective of advancing digital technology in Malaysia," he told reporters after officiating the MoU held at a hotel here, today.

He said the cooperation symbolises Malaysia's intent to strengthen ties with Turkiye, fostering not only diplomatic relations but also establishing robust business-to-business connections aimed at sharing technology and expertise.

"With this close partnership, we are enhancing our cooperation, not only between the two nations but also at the business-to-business level, where there will be a fruitful exchange of technology and experience," he said.

As Malaysia moves further into the digital era, Fadhillah said collaborations like the MoU reflect a broader commitment to bringing the nation up to date with the latest advancements.

"This is in line with our goal of moving towards digital and adopting new technology for Malaysia," he added, reinforcing that such partnerships are crucial for the country’s technological growth.
