KUALA LUMPUR - The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is recording statements of FashionValet Sdn Bhd (FashionValet) founders to assist in a probe involving investment losses totalling RM43.9 million by Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah) and Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB).

Online news portal The Star reported Datin Vivy Yusof and her husband Datuk Fadzaruddin Shah Anuar arrived at the anti-graft agency in Putrajaya at about 2pm, accompanied by a lawyer.

MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said that as of Monday, they had already summoned four witnesses from PNB, Khazanah and the Finance Ministry.

"The documents collected will be reviewed and examined following the investigation into the RM43.9 million loss from Khazanah and PNB's investment in FashionValet," he said on Tuesday.

On Monday, MACC obtained several financial documents following raids at Finance Ministry, Khazanah, PNB and FashionValet.

The Communications Minister and Madani government spokesperson Fahmi Fadzil was reported to have said that the public raised concerns over the loss, prompting various related content to be uploaded on social media.

In a written reply at Dewan Rakyat on Monday, the Finance Ministry stated that Khazanah and PNB gained RM3.1 million from the sale of shares in the fashion e-commerce platform Fashionista Valet to the Bumiputera company, NXBT Partners, in 2023.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has also directed Khazanah to conduct an internal audit to investigate the RM43.9 million investment loss in FashionValet Sdn Bhd (FashionValet).
