AMPANG – "Some of them even fall asleep naked when they’re drunk. They walk and lie down anywhere, at the laundromat, mailboxes, even on the roadside."

This was shared by a Pandan Mewah resident when interviewed by Sinar Harian, describing the behaviour of foreign nationals in the area.

The woman in her 40s, who wished to be known only as Faridah, said the situation was both embarrassing and disgusting.

She stressed that most of these incidents involve foreign nationals from Myanmar.

"In addition to being drunk, they urinate everywhere. Local shop owners frequently complain about the foul smell.

"Some of them are homeless and lack steady jobs," said Faridah, who had lived in the area since 2011.

Faridah also shared that after moving to Pandan Mewah, she was shocked at the difficulty of finding local residents.

She claimed foreign nationals in the area live with large families and reportedly use their children to beg.

Meanwhile, another local resident, who wanted to be known as Masitah, described similarly disturbing incidents, including foreign children defecating from the upper floors of their residences.

"It’s extremely disrespectful. Some of their children also throw pots and knives.

"When local residents complain, the authorities don’t seem to take serious action," she said.
