KUALA LUMPUR - A soldier who had just welcomed his first child passed away after reportedly experiencing dehydration during a training session at Kem Terendak, Melaka on Tuesday.

A day before the incident, the late LBdr Mohd Izuan Hafiz Mohd Supian, 26, from the 361 Bti RAD (Para) unit uploaded pictures of his vacation with his wife and child in Cameron Highlands on social media.

It is understood that the late soldier, who had been married for less than a year, was laid to rest at the Kuala Sungai Baru Cemetery in Melaka on Wednesday.

In a TikTok post, his friends described him as a kind person and expressed their sadness upon hearing the news of his passing.

Meanwhile, Commander of the 10th Brigade (Para) Major General Datuk Khairul Azmizal Ahmad Natal, along with its members expressed their condolences to the late soldier's family over this sudden loss.

"May Allah SWT grant strength to the family. May his soul be showered with blessings and placed among the righteous," he said.
