SHAH ALAM - Pasir Mas MP Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has claimed that the anticipated withdrawal of the RON95 subsidy is set to materialise following Barisan Nasional's (BN) recent victory in the Mahkota by-election.

Fadhli, who is also the Pas Information Chief, pointed out that this expectation was voiced during the Mahkota by-election campaign, taking into account the trends observed after the government's success in several previous by-elections.

“During the Mahkota by-election campaign, I already indicated that Umno/Barisan Nasional's (BN) victory in the by-election would provide a 'smooth pathway' for the RON95 subsidy to be withdrawn in the presentation of Budget 2025 and price increases at petrol stations would occur," he said.

Fadhli stressed that the Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has confirmed these developments in the presentation of Budget 2025.

“Today, the Prime Minister (Anwar) has confirmed this in the presentation of Budget 2025. Congratulations to all Malaysians!” he said in a Facebook post on Friday.
