SHAH ALAM - Liam Payne, the former One Direction star, has recently become the subject of serious allegations from his ex-fiancée, Maya Henry, bringing his private life under intense scrutiny.

Just days before Payne's tragic death in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Henry filed a lawsuit against him, accusing him of psychological harassment and bullying, marking the culmination of what was reportedly a deeply turbulent relationship.

In her new book, Looking Forward, and various interviews, Henry shares a harrowing account of her time with Payne, detailing the emotional and psychological abuse she claims to have endured.

Henry claimed that their time together was marked by erratic behaviour and emotional manipulation, describing Payne as a deeply troubled figure struggling with substance abuse.

She alleged that he once chased her with an axe while under the influence of drugs.

Additionally, she claimed he sent threatening messages to her family and repeatedly contacted her through multiple accounts after their breakup, engaging in what she describes as obsessive and threatening behaviour.

Legal Action and Troubling Interactions

Henry's accusations escalated to legal action just before Payne's death.

She filed a lawsuit citing psychological harassment and bullying, following his repeated attempts to reach out despite a cease-and-desist letter from her lawyers.

The legal filings outline a pattern of manipulation and harassment, with Henry asserting that Payne made it nearly impossible for her to move on.

In interviews following the lawsuit, Henry expressed how Payne's actions, particularly his alleged erratic messages and desperate pleas, played on her emotions and made it difficult for her to move on from their relationship.

In subsequent interviews, Henry spoke about how Payne's erratic messages and desperate pleas affected her emotionally. She claimed that he often discussed his mental health struggles and made ominous remarks about his own mortality.

Their relationship reportedly ended in 2022, but the emotional fallout lingered, exacerbated by Payne’s public appearances.

His behaviour at events – such as attending concerts of his former One Direction bandmates – was interpreted by some as desperate and erratic, adding to the public and media speculation about his mental state following their breakup.

Tragic Death in Buenos Aires

On Oct 16, 2024, just days after Henry's legal action, Payne tragically died after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.

The incident has shocked fans worldwide and prompted many to revisit the darker aspects of Payne's personal life, particularly his struggles with substance abuse and mental health.

His untimely death has left many mourning the loss of a troubled but talented figure whose public persona often masked deeper struggles.
