KUALA LUMPUR - "Alhamdulillah, thank God. My son and his three friends have been safely found."

This was the expression of gratitude from Rasidi Othman, the father of Muhammad Abdul Razak, a student of Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah School, who was previously reported missing.

Rasidi said his son and the three other students were under police supervision.

He said that he was informed all the students were found in Bangi, Selangor.

"I hope you (the media) can help spread the word and let everyone know that the case of the missing students has been resolved," he told Sinar Harian on Friday.

Rasidi added that the incident was a test for him and his family, but there was wisdom behind it.

He pointed out that there were many people out there who were being tested with much heavier trials than his.

He said that all incidents should be seen as a 'blessing' from the Almighty.

However, he considered himself fortunate that Allah has ended this test for him now that everything has been resolved.

"This is the blessing of a servant who always relies on the Almighty, and perhaps this was my test for now, but we never know what the future holds.

"In fact, through this incident, we have come to know each other through His arrangements," he added.

When asked about the incident, Rasidi said that he and his family, along with the tahfiz school, started searching on Monday, the day the four students went missing.

He added that the search efforts were also conducted with the help of some acquaintances from the police patrol unit.

"When we couldn’t find them, that was when the tahfiz school filed a police report on Tuesday," he said.

Meanwhile, Wangsa Maju district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Lazim Ismail said the police would provide an update on the case of the missing students soon.
