Bubbles O2 deepens commitment to sports with second year sponsorship of Le Tour de Langkawi

SHAH ALAM - Bubbles O2 Sdn Bhd, the producer of the BubblesO2 mineral water brand, has announced its continued sponsorship of the Le Tour de Langkawi for the second consecutive year as part of its commitment to supporting the sports industry in Malaysia.

Bubbles O2 managing director Ain Azizah Arifin, stated that their sponsorship for the Le Tour de Langkawi 2024 includes financial support as well as the provision of naturally oxygenated BubblesO2 mineral water for all involved, including the athletes participating in this cycling event.

"This isn't the first time Bubbles O2 has collaborated and sponsored sports activities in the country.

"In the past, we've also sponsored several other sports programs and institutions, such as the National Sports Council (MSN), the Malaysian Football League (MFL), and the MotoGP Grand Prix in Malaysia,” she said.

She stated that their commitment to sponsoring sports events stems from a desire to engage with sports enthusiasts, particularly in cycling, as it provides a platform to promote a healthy lifestyle to Malaysians while showcasing Bubbles O2 products to visitors at each venue.

Speaking at the flag-off of the fifth stage of Le Tour de Langkawi 2024, which ran from Kuala Lumpur to Melaka, Ain highlighted the importance of the event, which draws both local and international cyclists.

Also present at the event were the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Dr Zaliha Mustafa and Bubbles O2 Executive Chairman, Arifin Marzuki.

The LTdL 2024 race kicked off in Langkawi for Stage 1, followed by Stage 2 from Arau to Butterworth, Stage 3 from Taiping to Cameron Highlands, Stage 4 from Kuala Kubu Baru to Bentong, Stage 5 from Kuala Lumpur to Melaka, Stage 6 from Batu Pahat to Kulai, Stage 7 from Miri to Bintulu, and Stage 8 in Bintulu.

Ain also announced that Bubbles O2 is the official sponsor of the ‘Most Combative Rider’ award, which is given to the cyclist who demonstrates exceptional determination, courage, resilience, and strong teamwork throughout the race.

Expanding internationally

Bubbles O2 is in the process of expanding its reach internationally, with plans to enter markets in countries like Indonesia, South Africa, and Europe.

"We have already successfully marketed BubblesO2 water to countries like Brunei, Dubai, and the United States, and we're excited to extend our presence to three more continents.

“Our mission at Bubbles O2 is to share the benefits of our product worldwide, and we hope to successfully introduce this local brand on the global stage," she said.

Bubbles O2 promotes mineral water through CSR initiatives

Besides sponsoring Le Tour de Langkawi, Ain highlighted that Bubbles O2 is also committed to its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by providing donations of mineral water to five underprivileged families near the finish lines of the eight stages of the event.

"Each family received nearly 1,000 bottles of BubblesO2 for their daily use. Although our CSR efforts may be modest, they serve as a motivation for us to continue these initiatives while further promoting our products," she said during the fifth stage of Le Tour de Langkawi at MITC Ayer Keroh, Melaka.

"This initiative not only allows us to support LTdL but also enables us to give back to the local community hosting this international sporting event," she added.

Promoting healthy lifestyles through sport

Ain shared that the LTdL event serves as a platform for Bubbles O2 to broaden its brand recognition of oxygenated mineral water at an international level while also promoting healthy living through sports.

The company also organised various exciting activities in Melaka, including mineral water sales, interactive booths, and gift giveaways for lucky visitors.

"BubblesO2 received a positive response from attendees despite the hot weather throughout the event. We had the opportunity to share valuable information about the importance of hydration. Our booth also featured games and product promotions," she added.

She highlighted by stating that their sponsorship and collaboration efforts will continue, with plans to sponsor events like the upcoming MotoGP in Sepang.
