Bitter divorce battle: Fattah fires back at Fazura's claims
Fattah also expressed disappointment that infidelity was cited as a reason for the divorce, even though it had not been included in their divorce filing.
PETALING JAYA - Actor and singer Fattah Amin denied all allegations made by his ex-wife, Nur Fazura, regarding the reasons for their divorce.
Firmly stating his position, the 34-year-old expressed that he had transaction evidence demonstrating all his expenses, particularly for Fazura and their only four-year-old daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya.
"Don’t play with sentiments like that. I have proof in my bank statements showing where my money was spent.
"Maybe she felt it wasn’t enough for her, but don’t say that I didn’t provide for her because providing for the family is a basic responsibility in marriage, according to my ability,” he said.
Fattah also expressed disappointment that infidelity was cited as a reason for the divorce, even though it had not been included in their divorce filing.
He stated that he and Fazura had previously signed an agreement not to disclose each other’s private matters after finalising the divorce.
"I deny those allegations; previously, her lawyer also stated that there were no infidelity cases. So why suddenly bring up infidelity?
"Everything is untrue, and I have proof. To me, all these accusations are meant to tarnish my name and damage my reputation.
"I actually know something about her, but we had an agreement before the divorce to protect each other's privacy.
"So, I was shocked to hear her make such statements. Moreover, it's embarrassing for our daughter to see her mommy and daddy fighting like this while she is still growing up," Fattah said.
The KL Special Force star also denied claims that he had received a luxury Range Rover from Fazura as a gift.
He clarified that the car was actually a gift from the company, and his salary was deducted to pay for it.
"Did she give it to me? That's wrong. It was from the company because I worked for Fazura’s company.
"Everyone knew I worked for her. Don’t bring up things that shouldn’t be mentioned," he said, adding that he had never regretted marrying Fazura and accepted that their relationship was not meant to last.
Fattah, whose full name is Abdul Fattah Mohd Amin, pronounced divorce with one talak against Fazura, whose real name is Nur Fazura Sharifuddin, at 9.45am in front of Syariah Judge Abdul Malik Soleh.
The court had previously granted the divorce application filed by Fazura under Section 47 of the Islamic Family Law (Selangor) Enactment 2003.
The couple married on November 27, 2017, and they had one daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya, who was now four years old.
