IPOH - The Taiping Municipal Council (MPT) has assembled several 3D murals depicting Taiping's historical heritage.

The murals were produced in collaboration with the Perak Division of Malaysia's Non-Pensioned Military Veterans Association.

MPT president Khairul Amir Mohamad Zubir said the locations chosen include the Taiping Zoo & Night Safari, which has produced six murals of tigers, beavers, giraffes, crocodiles, snakes, and a suspension bridge.

"The second location is at Jalan Syed Burhan, where a 100-metre-long and 6.38-metre-high Antong Mural depicts a sketch of the traditional production process of Antong Coffee.

"The third location is the Welcome To Taiping mural measuring 34.7 metres wide and 16.15 metres high. This mural depicts a combination of historical icons of Taiping's heritage as well as various outdoor activities that can be enjoyed in the city," he said here today at the Taiping City Historical Heritage Trail launch today at the Taiping Zoo & Night Safari.

Also present was the President of the Malaysian Non-Pensioned Military Veterans Association of Perak, Razali Awang Md Noor.

He said each of these mural provides a 3D illusion, allowing visitors to take pictures on a more relaxed mode. This also attracts more local and foreign tourists to enjoy Taiping's uniqueness. - BERNAMA
