SHAH ALAM – A video went viral on social media showing a mother tearfully announcing that her son’s wedding would not proceed as planned after the bride withdrew at the last minute.

In the video, the mother clarified that her family decided to proceed with the “special day” by holding a prayer session instead.

"With a heavy heart, my family and I wish to inform you that, due to certain reasons, the bride cancelled the wedding at the very last minute.

"Because of this last-minute cancellation, I was unable to inform each guest personally as, at that moment, I did not have the strength and could not handle answering all the questions that would have been asked.

"So, I made the decision to go ahead with the event, not because all the preparations were done, but because I needed to personally explain the situation. With the bride’s cancellation, my family and I decided to hold a prayer session led by an ustaz and the tahfiz students," she said in a TikTok post on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the groom, known as Adam, shared that despite his efforts to save the relationship, he ultimately failed and has accepted the fate determined by Allah SWT.

He expressed that his post was a reflection on life’s journey, noting that there are more challenging trials to face in this world.

"First and foremost, I want to thank Allah SWT for allowing us to be here, even though the original plan did not go as we had hoped.
