Susan Lankester wins Best Actress at Asian Academy Creative Awards 2024

SHAH ALAM - Veteran Malaysian actress Susan Lankester has been named the National Winner for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2024 (AACA).
The 62-year-old actress earned the prestigious accolade for her outstanding portrayal of Aileen Choo in the film Raintown, further cementing her enduring impact on the Malaysian entertainment industry.
Lankester took to Instagram to express her gratitude towards her fellow cast and crew.
“Thank you to The Choos - Chew Kin Wah, Pauline Tan, Wilson Lee & Fabian Loo. I love you all.
“And most of all, huge thanks to the Raintown crew for making the film look, feel and sound the way it does. And for taking such great care of us on set and off. Mad respect for all of you,” read the caption on Friday.

Raintown has also made headlines as the first local Cantonese film directed by a Malay, breaking new ground in the Malaysian film industry.
