SHAH ALAM - The 2024 Karangkraf Warehouse Sale was made even more exciting by the presence of 39 students and six teachers from Sekolah Raja Perempuan Taayah, Ipoh, Perak.

Senior teacher Zaihasra Md Nasir said that the 217-kilometre journey to the warehouse sale was part of the school's ‘Rehlah Minda’ programme.

She said the programme was organised to celebrate students who achieved excellent results in Malay Language, Malay Literature and Communicative Studies.

“The purpose of bringing the students here is to instil a reading culture and help them gather ideas for writing.

“Through reading, we can learn many things, such as grammar, sentence structure, and collecting ideas for creative writing,” she said when met at the Karangkraf Group Complex on Friday.

Previously, during the school's Language Carnival, Zaihasra stressed that Karangkraf was one of the organisations that set up a booth.

Zaihasra said the booth received an overwhelming response as many students and teachers took the opportunity to grab copies of Karangkraf publications.

“Seeing the positive response, we (the teachers) took the opportunity to bring the students to the 2024 Karangkraf Warehouse Sale,” she added.
