KUALA LUMPUR - The national dance sport team delivered a captivating performance to win two gold medals at the 2024 London Open championship yesterday.

According to the Malaysia DanceSport Federation (MYDF), the two gold medals were secured by Cherry Yeo in the Adult Women's Latin Solo event and Madeleine Lau in the Junior Women's Latin Solo category.

Both Cherry and Madeleine showcased extraordinary talent and mastery of dance, captivating the panel of judges and securing top positions in their respective categories.

The victories propelled Cherry's world ranking to number two in the Adult Women's Latin Solo category and Madeleine to fourth in the Junior Women's Latin Solo category.

"The success of the national team would not have been possible without the support, dedication and expert guidance of coaches Chua Zjen Fong and Evon Chong from MY DanceSport Academy,” said MYDF in a statement today.
