Princess Catherine makes first public appearance since finishing chemotherapy

WASHINGTON - Kate Middleton, the princess of Wales, on Sunday made her first public appearance since announcing the completion of chemotherapy, United Press International (UPI) reported.

Princess Catherine, 42, was spotted attending a service with her husband Prince William and other members of the royal family at Crathie Kirk Church near Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

The Sun, published photos of her with brief smile as she sat in the passenger seat of a car driven by Prince William, her husband.

She wore a dark green wide-brimmed hat with feathers on the side and a brown tartan checked coat.

Earlier this month, she said it was a "relief" she completed chemotherapy treatment, which was revealed in March. It was the same time she revealed her cancer diagnosis.

"The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family.

"Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown," she posted said in a video on Sept 9,

On Tuesday, it was reported that the princess had returned to work. - BERNAMA-UPI
