PUTRAJAYA - The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has confirmed receiving asset declarations from two sons of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said that Dr Mahathir's sons, Mirzan and Tan Sri Mokhzani, submitted their asset declarations within the required timeframe.

He added that the commission is currently investigating and reviewing the declarations with their legal representatives.

"They have submitted their asset declarations within the stipulated time.

"MACC personnel are in the process of obtaining further clarification from the legal representatives regarding the details of the declarations," Azam said during a press conference on Wednesday.

When asked about efforts to trace Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's son-in-law Datuk Seri Muhammad Adlan Berhan, Azam said that the search remains at a standstill.

He said that the businessman has yet to be located for his return to the country.
