SHAH ALAM - Selangor Pas Youth has proposed an unconventional strategy to win over non-Malay and non-Muslim voters: inter-racial marriages.

Speaking at the Pas Muktamar, Pas Selangor Youth Secretary Aubidullah suggested that party members consider marrying individuals from different races or cultures.

He argued that this approach could not only secure individual votes but also attract a broader base of support from non-Malay and non-Muslim communities.

"We in Selangor have a suggestion, we suggest that the youth leadership should marry cross-race or cross-culture.

"This is because when we marry across the culture and race, not only do we capture one vote, but we can capture 10 or even hundreds of votes from non-Malays or non-Muslims," he reportedly said during 65th Muktamar (Annual General Assembly) at Kerdau, Pahang.

Fahim humorously added that the Pas Selangor Youth Chief would be the first to implement this idea.

"Pas Selangor Youth Chief will initiate it," he said.
