PARIS - The French president's wife Brigitte Macron is making her Netflix debut playing herself in the hit series "Emily in Paris", Elle magazine revealed Tuesday, ahead of the release of new episodes Thursday.

The second half of the fourth season is being released Thursday on the streaming platform.
"The idea of the cameo came to us when (program creator) Darren Star and I met her at the Elysee Palace in December 2022," the show's star Lily Collins told Elle.
"She is a big fan of the show and took the mention of her in season 1 with great humour. This scene in season 4 is a wink, and shooting with her was both an honour and a real joy." Regarding his take of Macron, Star told Elle, "She has great talent!" Since launching in 2020, the series has attracted audiences and made headlines. It has been loved and hated, and for some, who love to hate it.
