Pedestrian pathway collapses in Kampung Kerinchi

KUALA LUMPUR - Another incident of land subsidence has been reported at Jalan Pantai Permai, Kampung Kerinchi.

According to DBKL, safety measures were implemented immediately upon receiving the report.
"DBKL is aware of the collapsed drain at Jalan Pantai Permai, Kampung Kerinchi.
"Initial work such as installing safety ropes, water barriers and cones has been carried out at the site," DBKL said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
Photos shared show that the affected area involves a pedestrian pathway and a small portion of the adjacent road structure.
Fortunately, the incident did not involve any casualties or damage to public property.
In a separate incident on Friday, the country was shocked by a land subsidence at Jalan Masjid India, involving a victim who was reported missing after falling and being buried in the incident that occurred around 8am.
The victim was Vijayaletchumi, 48, an Indian national from Andhra Pradesh.
The search and rescue (SAR) operation has entered its sixth day, with rescuers expanding their search to six sewer locations around the capital, including in front of Wisma Yakin, Jalan Melayu, the Jalan Melayu junction, Dataran Merdeka, Lebuh Pasar and Bulatan Kinabalu.
