KUALA LUMPUR - Umno's Vice President Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail emphasised that young people value campaigns that promote positivity rather than disparaging the opposition.

He said people today, particularly the young undecided voters, value campaigns that promote positivity rather than disparaging the opposition.

“The younger generation prefers to hear about the future, about what they can achieve, what they can obtain and what their direction will be.

“One of our efforts to gain the support of the youth is our initiative to provide assurances for the future.

“Especially regarding job opportunities and skills education such as the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), which is being championed by Umno’s President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi himself, as the Chairman of the National TVET Council, to enhance their (youth) confidence.

The Pahang Menteri Besar also said taht in Pahang, the government will establish the East Coast Rail Link-UCYP Academy to train local youth to fill over 2,000 job opportunities in the operation of the ECRL high-speed rail by 2026.

Wan Rosdy also said that if Umno wants to win, the party must act accordingly.

“If we lose our direction, we will also lose our power,” he said.
