SHAH ALAM – Love may be priceless, but Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's marriage proves it can certainly come at a hefty cost.

After just two years, the couple has decided to part ways, with Lopez filing for divorce in Los Angeles on what would have been their second wedding anniversary.

According to TMZ, sources revealed that the couple had not signed a prenup before tying the knot.

If true, this decision could make their short-lived marriage an expensive one.

Without a prenup, all the income, assets and profits they earned during their marriage were considered community property and both Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, have been busy with their careers during this time.

Affleck, for example, starred in films like ‘Air’ and ‘Hypnotic’ and produced ‘The Instigators.”’

He also wrapped up filming for ‘The Accountant 2.’

His success landed him on Forbes’ 2023 list of highest-paid actors, with an estimated $38 million in earnings last year. “Air” alone made $90 million at the box office.

Lopez has also been active, starring in ‘Shotgun Wedding’, ‘The Mother’, ‘This Is Me... Now’ and ‘Atlas.’

Her estimated net worth in 2024 is an impressive $400 million.

The couple also bought a $60 million home last year, intended to be their marital mansion.

However, they put the 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom property up for sale this summer.

Rumours of a split began in May when reports emerged that Affleck had moved out of their mansion and into a rental property.

He had since purchased a $20.5 million bachelor pad, while Lopez had been house hunting on her own.
