SHAH ALAM - RollingPay has partnered with the Bumiputera Women Entrepreneurs Association of Malaysia (Usahanita) to support at least 500 women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through innovative, shariah-compliant cash flow solutions.

The shariah-compliant payroll financing platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) said many microenterprise owners seeking to expand their businesses face significant hurdles in securing funding due to a lack of collateral, inconsistent cash flow, and inadequate bookkeeping practices.

RollingPay chief executive officer Cellou Diallo said that the partnership with Usahanita marked a significant milestone in its mission to empower MSMEs, particularly those led by women.

“We recognise the unique challenges faced by these enterprises, from securing business financing without collateral to managing erratic cash flows.

“Our artificial intelligence (AI)-driven platform addresses these issues by providing real-time credit facilitation and ensuring timely payments to employees and suppliers, thus fostering a stable financial environment for business growth,” he said in a statement.

RollingPay's recent innovative hybrid solution included leveraging the use of AI to handle alternative data, which was believed to help microenterprises access real-time business financing to support their business growth.

The company aimed to revolutionise the financial landscape for MSMEs by offering seamless, reliable cash flow management through the integration of cash management facilitation and payment processing into a single, efficient solution, reducing errors and enhancing transparency at the same time.

"By partnering with Usahanita, RollingPay aims to make a tangible impact on the financial health of women-led businesses, enabling them to thrive in competitive markets," the statement read.

The use of AI and alternative data, it said, sets RollingPay apart from traditional business financing platforms.

Through the analysis of a wide range of data points, including transaction histories and workforce data points, the platform could accurately assess creditworthiness and provide customised business financing solutions.

"This approach not only broadens access to an improvement in cash management but also ensures that funds are available exactly when needed, eliminating the stress associated with delayed payments," the statement said.

Meanwhile, Yang Di-Pertuan Usahanita Datuk Faridah A. Jabbar said it looked forward to the partnership in order to support its members.

“Our goal is to provide these women entrepreneurs with the tools and resources they need to succeed.

"RollingPay’s innovative business financing solution is a game-changer, offering timely and fair access to funds without the need for collateral.

“Together, we can help these businesses overcome financial bottlenecks and achieve their full potential," she said.
