NENGGIRI - Kelantan Orang Asli Village Network (JKOAK) Deputy Chairperson Nasir Dollah has slammed Umno and the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition for failing to address the welfare of the Orang Asli community.

Speaking at Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) Grand Finale Ceramah last night, Nasir condemned Umno and PH, highlighting the need for genuine representation and respect for the Orang Asli community.

Nasir accused Umno of using federal allocations as a coercive tool to secure Orang Asli support.

He openly rejected these threats, emphasising the importance of the community standing firm.

"I've only been campaigning for two or three days, supporting the PN candidate, and I already see positive developments.

"We need to intensify our efforts in urban areas to defeat Umno in this election," Nasir stated.

He called for the Orang Asli community to cooperate with state leadership on issues related to their rights and interests.

"We are not afraid of these threats. The Orang Asli community should not be denied federal welfare allocations, as they are enshrined in the constitution. We will not be deceived forever," he said.

Nasir's comments come ahead of the Nenggiri by-election, where Umno reportedly faces increasing opposition from Orang Asli groups.

Nasir acknowledged his past opposition to Pas Gua Musang but expressed a change in stance, noting that politics can evolve over time.

He criticised the long-standing leadership of Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah or also known as Ku Li in Gua Musang, claiming his leadership has failed to address the welfare of the Orang Asli community.

"Representing the Orang Asli community, I say no to Umno Gua Musang. If the Orang Asli say no, why would you support Umno?" he questioned.

Nasir also challenged the narrative that the Kelantan government is solely responsible for environmental destruction, pointing out similar issues in Pahang and Perak under BN leadership.

Also present at the ceramah were PN Chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Pas President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud, and senior leaders from Pas and Bersatu.
