GUA MUSANG - In a decisive statement, Perikatan Nasional (PN) Chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin declared that the people of Nenggiri have voiced their disapproval of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s administration.

As the Nenggiri by-election approaches, Muhyiddin is confident in his party’s chances, citing widespread public discontent with the current government led by Anwar.

Speaking at PN’s Grand Finale Ceramah last night, he claimed that the majority of Nenggiri voters are expected to support PN candidate Mohd Rizwadi Ismail, reflecting broader dissatisfaction with Anwar's administration.

“Based on our surveys and the feedback we've received during this campaign, I am confident, Insyallah, that our candidate will win.

"The people of Nenggiri, and I believe this sentiment is shared nationwide, feel that the Madani Government has failed to address their concerns,” he said.

During his visits to local villages in Nenggiri, the former prime minister spoke with the Orang Asli communities and other residents, who voiced their frustrations with the current administration.

“They said the main problem is that people are struggling now.

"Their lives are difficult, and they felt it was better during the Covid-19 period.

"The rising cost of living has made things worse. Prices are high, and everything is increasing in cost. What has gone down? Eggs, by 3 sen.

"After Covid-19, the economy has not grown because the government has failed to stimulate economic growth, leading to a lack of job opportunities and increasing hardship for the people,” he added.

Also present at the rally were Pas President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud, Bersatu Vice-President Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin, and senior leaders from Pas and Bersatu.
