Shah Firdaus advances to keirin final at Paris Olympics

The keirin final will take place at 7.32pm tonight.

SHAH ALAM - National track cyclist Muhammad Shah Firdaus Sahrom, Malaysia's last hope at the 2024 Paris Olympics, successfully advanced to the men's keirin final at the Saint-Quentin Velodrome earlier today.

His advancement came after Kaiya Ota, who finished third, was handed a second yellow card.

The keirin final will take place at 7.32pm tonight.

Jack Carlin (Great Britain), Matthew Glaetzer (Austria), and Shinji Nakano (Japan) also qualified for the keirin final.

Meanwhile, Ota was relegated to the race for 7th to 12th place, along with all the cyclists who did not advance to the main final.
