SHAH ALAM - Sinar Harian has been a steadfast purveyor of news for 18 years, committed to providing a platform for all readers.

Print Executive Editor Azmi Tarmizi highlighted transparency and honesty as the cornerstones of maintaining reader trust.

According to Azmi, Sinar Harian has consistently adhered to its "Transparent and Truthful" motto since its inception.

"As a founding member, I'm proud of our achievements.

"We've evolved from a primarily East Coast-focused publication to a nationwide and global news source, thanks to our digital platform," said Azmi.

He recounted the newspaper's humble beginnings with a small, inexperienced team based in Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan.

Over the course of a year, they laid the groundwork for a community-centric newspaper.

"Sinar Harian was initially a newspaper of the people, for the people.

"We started with a journalist in each district, primarily in Kelantan and Terengganu, and gradually expanded nationwide," Azmi added.

Another highlight of Sinar Harian's journey was the "Skuad Cakna" initiative, spearheaded by Karangkraf Group Advisor Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub.

"Journalists were assigned to specific districts as the first responders to news events," he said.
