SHAH ALAM - Sinar Harian has solidified its position as a leading newspaper in Malaysia, marking its 18th anniversary as a trusted source of news and information.

Sinar Karangkraf's chief executive officer (CEO) Farah Hussamuddin acknowledged the challenges faced by the newspaper over the years but stressed its evolution to meet the changing needs of Malaysians.

“Sinar Harian has grown and adapted to the times, driven by technological advancements and the evolving expectations of our readers.

“Our goal is to continue shaping minds and fostering informed discourse within our nation," she said.

Farah also expressed gratitude to readers for their unwavering support since the newspaper’s launch in Kelantan and Terengganu in 2006.

Sinar Harian quickly rose to become Malaysia’s best-selling Malay-language newspaper, known for its balanced and comprehensive reporting under the tagline “Telus dan Tulus” (Transparent and Truthful).

The newspaper’s commitment to community engagement is reflected in its use of the word “cakna,” meaning aware or concerned, which has become synonymous with Sinar Harian.
