SHAH ALAM - Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Immigration Director Sadim Abdullah died while on duty on Tuesday, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail announced.

"Yesterday, at around 4.20pm, the extended family of the Home Ministry (KDN) and the Immigration Department received the shocking and deeply saddening news that the late Tuan Sadim Abdullah passed away while on duty.

"Last night, I rushed to the Forensic Medicine Department at Serdang Hospital to pay my respects to the deceased and his family, who had just arrived from Sabah," he said today.

Saifuddin described the late Sadim as a committed individual who was well-liked by many, noting that his passing is a significant loss to all.

"May the late Sadim’s wife, four children, family, and friends remain strong in facing this trial.

"Let us all pray that the deceased's soul is blessed with mercy, forgiven of sins, accepted for good deeds, and placed in heaven among the faithful and righteous, God willing. Al-Fatihah," he added.
