Kedai Jajan Nims brings back old nostalgia at Karnival Rakyat Karangkraf
Visitors will have a chance to win a motorcycle and various attractive prizes worth RM10,000.
SHAH ALAM - Co-sponsor Nims Adeliciousz Sdn Bhd is bringing a blast from the past to the Karnival Rakyat Karangkraf 2024 with its ‘Kedai Jajan Nims’ concept.
The carnival is held three days from today to July 28 at the Karangkraf Media Group, Section 15 here.
Its Chief Executive Officer Tengku Norhanim Tengku Othman said the concept introduced was in line with the theme of the carnival which highlighted traditional and Malaysians.
"Kedai Jajan Nims is decorated with items from the 1980s and 1990s such as canned biscuits, Malaysian ice cream of various flavours and various snacks that will certainly bring back the nostalgia of visitors to that era. There are also activities that are in line with the era.
"We will also organise a lucky draw and visitors will have a chance to win a motorcycle and various attractive prizes worth RM10,000.
“They only need to buy Nims products at a minimum of RM30 and have a chance to get a ticket to participate in the event," she told Sinar Harian on Tuesday.
In the meantime, Tengku Norhanim said, in addition to the lucky draw and the sale of traditional food, Nims would also offer discounts and ‘tikam’ games for customers.
"Purchasing Nims products at RM3 will entitle them to play ‘tikam’ games, 10 tins, surprise eggs, ‘Tuju Belon’ and ‘Roda Rakyat’. Prizes will be given based on the number they get," he said.
Great promotion
Tengku Norhanim said Nims would also hold a promotion where customers who bought two Crispy Choco Tubs would get a free tub at only RM30.
"Our products are really affordable, this promotion starts as low as RM3. In addition, Nims fans can participate in the Collect & Redeem campaign, where they need to bring three Nims Crispy Choco Tub lids to the Nims Snack Shop at the Karnival Rakyat Karangkraf and have a chance to get an RM3 discount,” she said.
She added visitors could also showcase their creativity by uploading videos with Nims products on TikTok and 'tag' @nimsofficial to get a special gift.
Tengku Norhanim said Nims’ involvement in the Karnival Rakyat Karangkraf 2024 was intended to interact more closely with the community and provide a strategic platform for introducing their products.
She added that the programme provides the current generation with benefits and new experiences about the history and lifestyle of the past.
"The public is invited to attend the Karnival Rakyat Karangkraf 2024 and do not miss the opportunity to participate in all the organised events. They need to take advantage of their free time with their families by doing many interesting activities offered at the carnival.

The carnival was held in conjunction with Sinar Harian’s anniversary which celebrates the uniqueness of Malaysia's cultural heritage and show its appreciation to the newspaper's loyal readers.
Karnival Rakyat Karangkraf 2024 would bring something different by bringing back the nostalgia of the past through traditional and national themes.
Among the interesting activities provided would be SinarPlus MakanFest, Tomkraf Cat Fiesta, Rahmah Sale, performing arts shows, traditional games and village sports, riuh rewang, haunted house, Sinar Bestari school canteen day, demonstrations of uniformed units and lucky draws.
