Wan Saiful's wife dies

In June, Wan Saiful had said that his wife was admitted to a hospital in Kuala Lumpur due to stage four colon cancer.

SHAH ALAM - The wife of Tasek Gelugor Member of Parliament Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan, Datin Alena Omar, passed away at 2.40 pm on Monday.

This was informed by Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Kota Melaka Division head Datuk Hishamuddin Abdul Karim, through a post uploaded on Facebook.

"I, along with the entire leadership of the Srikandi Armada Division and Srikandi Muda Bersatu Kota Melaka, express our condolences to Wan Saiful on the passing of his beloved wife," he said on Monday.

"May Allahyarhamah be placed among the righteous," he added.

It is understood that the body of the deceased will be managed at the National Cancer Institute in Putrajaya and the final rites will be held at the Sungai Sekamat Mosque, Batu 12, Kajang today.

The burial would take place at the Sungai Sekamat Islamic Cemetery, Jalan Sungai Sekamat.

In June, Wan Saiful had said that his wife was admitted to a hospital in Kuala Lumpur due to stage four colon cancer.

He had said that the wife had also undergone chemotherapy treatment since 2020, but her condition became critical as the cancer had spread to other organs.
