KUALA LUMPUR - A total of 429 individuals aged 18 and above are still reported missing nationwide.

Bukit Aman's Federal Management director Comm Datuk Seri Azmi Abu Kassim said that during this period, the total number of missing persons cases recorded was 2,424, comprising 1,609 men and 815 women.
According to him, the number of individuals found was 1,995, which includes 1,295 men and 700 women.
"For case breakdown, in 2022, 925 people were reported missing, of which 776 were found, while the following year recorded 983 missing persons, with 819 found.
"For the first six months of this year since January, the police received 516 missing persons case and 400 of them were found," he told Sinar on Wednesday.
He said that the police have implemented various dissemination actions, including online, as a step and effort to trace missing persons.
He explained that the public is encouraged to provide information to the police to assist in investigations.
"We (the police) greatly welcome the cooperation of the public in addition to dissemination actions on various platforms to trace individuals reported missing," he said.
