Nur Farah Kartini murder case: Cops confirm suspect a PDRM personnel in Perak

The deceased was believed to have been murdered by someone she knew.

SUNGAI BULOH - The civil servant arrested in connection with the discovery of Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah's body is a member of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).

The matter was confirmed by Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan when asked about the status of the man.

"The suspect, alleged to be the victim's boyfriend, is a police officer serving in Perak.

"Preliminary investigations revealed that the location where the body was found is the primary crime scene," he said, today.

It was reported that Farah, 25, who had been missing since July 10, was found dead on Monday evening.

The victim was reported missing after delivering a rental car to a customer in Perak.

The deceased was believed to have been murdered by someone she knew.

Her body was discovered in an oil palm plantation in Kampung Sri Kledang, not far from Felda Gedangsa in Hulu Selangor, at 6pm, before police arrested a 26-year-old man who was a civil servant.

The suspect has been remanded for seven days to assist in the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
