When we say re-enter the scene, we mean that the Fu-Rin Japanese Restaurant has been around for some time, but It was recently refurbished by the Glenmarie Hotel & Golf Resort.

Fu-rin which means “wind chime” in Japanese, aims to bring a little piece of Japan to Glenmarie. At the entrance, you’ll be greeted by a zen entrance with pebbles and a walkway that will guide you to the eatery.

The restaurant’s renovation features private dining options and an expanded menu showcasing traditional Japanese culinary techniques and the finest ingredients air-flown from Japan weekly.

The sashimi cut is thick and fresh. The salmon is fatty and flavourful, while the tuna is super fresh. If you aren’t into raw options, head for the teppanyaki station where the chef will cook your dish before you.

The miso soup is made from a rich dashi broth. This creates a savoury and umami-packed flavor that is both soothing and satisfying. Tofu cubes, seaweed, and scallions add texture and a burst of freshness to each spoonful, making it the perfect starter.

For its teppanyaki offerings, fresh meat and seafood are grilled to perfection right before your eyes. Skilled chefs expertly sear premium cuts of meat and the freshest seafood on a hot iron griddle, locking in their natural juices and flavours.

The Japanese menu is crafted especially by Japanese-trained Chef de Cuisine Mike Yip who has over 30 years of experience in Japanese fine dining.

Meanwhile, Glenmarie Hotel & Golf Resort general manager Christoph Voegeli said: “We are thrilled to reopen our Japanese restaurant with a fresh look and feel. We are confident that Fu-Rin Japanese Restaurant will become a favourite destination for those seeking exceptional food and hospitality.”
