Sungai Bakap by-election: Young voters choose to come early
"Alhamdulillah, the voting process went smoothly, taking only about 10 minutes."
SUNGAI BAKAP - Avoiding crowds and heat were reasons three young voters chose to fulfil their responsibility as soon as the polling centre at SMK Bandar Tasek Mutiara opened on Saturday morning.
Muhammad Afiq Ismail, 22, said he came early to avoid crowds, recalling his experience during the state election last year.
"Coming early means finishing early and going back early. Alhamdulillah, the voting process went smoothly, taking about 10 minutes only," he told Sinar here on Saturday.
For Muhammad Hafizuddin Ramlee, 20, he came early as he had work in the afternoon.
"It's my second time voting and I'm excited to fulfil my duty to choose a new representative for Sungai Bakap.
“I have work at 1.30pm, so I chose to vote early this morning. The voting process was smooth and easy," he said.
Also sharing his experience, Muhammad Aqil Ismail, 20, voted for the second time.
"I came early to avoid the heat.
"Besides, once I finish my duty here in the morning, there are many other activities I can do afterward," he said.
