NIBONG TEBAL - Penang Chief Minister (CM) Chow Kon Yeow denies that there is any tension between him and former CM Lim Guan Eng, refuting allegations made by former deputy CM P. Ramasamy.

Chow said the differing opinions among various political entities was a normal occurrence.

"He (Ramasamy) raised the issue in the state legislative assembly and I have tried my best to answer whatever (the issue was)," he told Sinar Daily.

He also made it clear that he would always strive to resolve any conflicts within his administration by addressing the concerns and dissatisfaction of other parties.

"I want to ask him (Ramasamy) if he has any tension with Guan Eng," Chow added.

It was reported that Ramasamy claimed that the "animosity" between Chow and Lim would harm Penang’s future potential where he claimed that the conflict was caused by "different political seniorities."

He was referring to the criticisms hurled by Lim at Chow over the the "loss" of a multi-million ringgit integrated circuit (IC) design park to Selangor.
