Game of Thrones and House of Dragon cast members who support Palestine
Fans will see their beloved characters in a whole new light.
As fans of "House of Dragon" tune in to the latest episodes in its second season, they might now see their beloved characters in House of Dragon and Game of Thrones in a new light, as advocates for justice and peace.
While the genocide in Palestine has divided Hollywood, a number of cast members from both series stand in solidarity with Palestine. Here is the list:
1. Sean Bean Sean who plays Ned Stark participated in a pro-Palestine march in Vancouver last Dec to show his solidarity with Gaza.
2. Liam Cunningham who plays Davos Seaworth in Game of Thrones has been vocal about the current situation in Gaza, criticising those who remain silent and expressing his views both online and offline. He has joined numerous protests and marches in solidarity.
3. Tobias Menzies Tobias who plays Jonathan Prycehas actively advocated for Palestine and raised awareness about the genocide in Gaza. He took part in an initiative by 'The Palestine Festival of Literature,' and has continued to join protests and speak out for Palestine.
4. Charles Dance Charles who plays Tywin Lannister lent his voice to the ICJ indictment against Israel, reading a segment to highlight specific complaints. He has repeatedly called for a ceasefire.
5. Carice Van Houten Carice who plays Melisandre has been a vocal supporter of Palestine, discussing the situation in Gaza daily and representing Palestine at public events. In January, she participated in reading the names of 10,000 children killed by Israeli violence and consistently used her platform to amplify accounts from Gaza.
6. Emma D'Arcy Emma who plays Rhaenyra Targaryen has used her platform to raise awareness about the situation in Gaza, sharing reports from those on the ground and advocating for humanity.
7. Lena Headey Lena who plays Cersei Lannister was among the artists who read segments of the ICJ complaints against Israel to highlight shocking allegations. She has worked with 'Voices of Palestine' and used her platform to bring attention to Gaza and call for a ceasefire.
8. Pedro Pascal Pedro who plays Oberyn Martell has actively attended protests and advocated for Palestine both in person and online. He proudly wears his keffiyeh and uses his platform to highlight the horrors faced by Gaza.
