PETALING JAYA - A man was believed to be allegedly sexually assaulted by a tattoo artist after losing consciousness from an oil applied by the suspect.

Petaling Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Shahrulnizam Jaafar said in the incident at 9.30pm on Tuesday, the 24-year-old victim entered the premises to get a flower tattoo on his hand.

He said the victim claimed that he lost consciousness after the suspect started tattooing a flower on his right hand.

"After the suspect applied the oil, the victim was believed to have lost awareness of what was happening to him.

"When the victim regained consciousness, he found himself undressed," he said.

Shahrulnizam said the victim then immediately left the premises and felt pain in his anal area, suspecting that the suspect had sodomised him.

"The young man then lodged a police report before receiving treatment at the University Malaya Medical Centre," he said.

Asked about the police's next steps, Shahrulnizam said no arrests had been made so far.

"The case is being investigated under Section 377B of the Penal Code," he said.
